Fifteen Furness teenagers learned the art of acting at a workshop run by Barrow Youth Theatre in April 1993.
The would-be actors were put through their paces at Forum 28 in Barrow by director Rachel Ashton and co-ordinator Julie Hammerton.
They started off with games designed to give the children confidence and get them used to performing in front of people – as well as teaching them to work together.
Then in its third year, the beginners’ workshop was open to anyone who wanted to go along and give acting a try. And if they enjoyed it, they could go on to join the youth theatre.
