BTS' 'Butter' CD sells 2.15 million copies on first day of release – Manila Bulletin

K-pop superstars BTS’ new release, the “Butter” CD single, sold more than two million copies on the first day of release.
“Butter” CD was released on July 9 and according to Korea’s Gaon Music Chart, it sold 2,153,747 copies on the first day and topped the daily retail album chart.
On the other hand, based on Korea’s Hanteo Chart, “Butter” CD sold 1,711,870 copies on the first day and topped its daily physical album chart.
The CD contains two songs, “Butter” and “Permission to Dance,” a song that Grammy winner Ed Sheeran participated in as one of the songwriters.
