Bryan County voters held the red line in Tuesday's senate races with incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Purdue getting decisive victories in their respective races.
With all 10 county precincts reporting, Loeffler garnered 11,968 votes to Raphael Warnock's 5,100 and David Perdue bested Jon Ossoff 11,971 to 5,105. In the Public Service Commission race, incumbent Republican Bubba McDonald Jr. easily beat challenger Daniel Blackman 12,076 to 4,836.
More than 54% — 17,085 — of the county's 31,344 registered voters took to the polls in what Bryan County Elections Supervisor Cindy Reynolds said was one of the highest turnouts for a runoff election in memory.
