A teenager is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly deliberately driving into two pedestrians in the state’s far west.
Emergency services were called to Lane Street, Broken Hill about 8.45pm on March 30 to reports two men, aged 19 and 49, had been hit by a car while walking along the footpath.
Both pedestrians were taken to Broken Hill Hospital in a serious but stable condition. NSW Police on Friday said the older man was transferred to Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains with serious head injuries.
The driver of the car, an 18-year-old man, was arrested at the police station a short time after the crash but released pending further inquiries.
