British-Irish agreement enshrines sectarian division

The World Socialist Web Site is republishing a statement issued by its Editorial Board on April 25, 1998, after the signing on April 10 of the Good Friday Agreement between the governments of the UK and Ireland, and the major parties of Northern Ireland including Sinn Féin and the then dominant Ulster Unionist Party.
