The British International Investment (BII) plans to invest $1 billion in Indian climate-related projects by 2026. The investment will focus on sectors such as bio-fuels and the circular economy, in line with the vision for the 2030 roadmap agreed between India and the UK. BII has already invested over $300 million in climate finance in India last year, with a current portfolio valued at $2.2 billion. The CEO of BII highlighted India's strong returns compared to other geographies, citing buoyant stock markets and a stable political environment in the country.
