Britain's first ever memorial for 'lost legion' of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans armed-forces personnel will be created following review into historical treatment of people sacked or forced out of the military for being gay

The government awarded a £350,000 grant for the project, which was one of recommendations laid out by Lord Etherton in his review which detailed how people were forced out of the military.
