Faye Bridgwater in her studio
Free to visit, the Artists Open Houses festival will see more than 1,000 artists open the doors to their houses or studio spaces to exhibit and sell their artwork direct to the public.
The houses are grouped into one of 14 trails around different areas of the city and beyond.
Each house will display its own unique character and atmosphere.
Participating houses include the Regency houses in Brunswick, the colourful fishermen’s houses of Hanover, the urban warehouse spaces of the North Laine and cottages in the South Downs village of Ditchling.
More than 1000 artists are to take part in the festival
