Bright Local continues work to improve ACT scores

Bright Local School District is working to improve its ACT test strategies, superintendent Mike Bick told The Times-Gazette Wednesday.
During the district’s Dec. 16 board of education meeting, Bick requested that the board accept two contracts with the Brown County Educational Service Center (ESC): one contract for ACT test strategies and an agreement to provide services for safety and security.
The contract for ACT test strategies would provide Bright Local staff with professional development and strategies that would help enhance students’ ACT scores.
During the district’s October regular board of education meeting, Whiteoak Jr./Sr. High School Principal Jason Iles reported that high school administrators were working to embed ACT standards into curriculum and to add ACT preparatory opportunities for Bright Local students.
