NORWALK — A Bridgeport man was arrested Wednesday after crashing a vehicle on East Avenue and attempting to flee from police, according to officials.
Officers responded to the area of Mill Hill Park shortly after 10 a.m. for a report of a vehicle that had struck a sign on East Avenue. Witnesses told police two people exited the vehicle and ran from the scene.
“The female passenger was found a short distance away walking on Smith Street and was detained. Concurrently, other reports came in of a male matching the description of the operator jumping over fences in the area between Wall Street and a car dealership,” Sgt. Sofia Gulino said.
