There are a few airtight tips for making sure your home is ventilated properly during cold weather, said Claire Knocke, Olmsted County Public Health environmental health specialist.
First, checking that a home’s air and furnace filters are clean and running properly. Second, running the air exchangers that come in newer homes (built in the 2000s and after).
And third, recognizing that there’s no one-size-fits-all fix for every home ventilation issue.
