Brazilian government to be investigated for negligence against Covid
Brasilia, Apr 9 (Prensa Latina) Judge Luis Roberto Barroso, member of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), decided to establish a Parliamentary Investigation Commission (CPI) over the Jair Bolsonaro administration for possible negligence in the fight against Covid- 19.
Opposition obtained the necessary signatures for CPI to operate, but Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco opposed to establish it.
After being notified, Pacheco said that he will abide by the decision next week, but criticized its content.
Barroso reacted to a request presented to the Supreme Court by Congressmen Jorge Kajuru and Alessandro Vieira.
