Branded 'Terrorists', Beaten by Inmates, Untreated: How Delhi Riots Accused Are Faring in Jail
Ishrat Jahan, for one, has said she was beaten up by fellow inmates when she attempted to pray in the morning. The Mandoli Jail authorities have agreed with her account.

New Delhi: Former Congress councillor Ishrat Jahan alleged in court on Tuesday that she was beaten brutally by inmates of the Mandoli jail where is is lodged and continues to face harassment in prison. Jahan is not the only accused in the Delhi riots cases â investigation into which is already a matter of deep controversy â who has said that she has been severely mistreated in jail.
