This is the talkback only! Once you purchase your talkback tickets, you will have access to stream the shorts. You can watch these films at your convenience before the talkback.
Join Judith Dack and the Boulder JCC’s Arts, Culture, and Education Director Joy Eisenhauer for a talkback on films from the 2020 Boulder Jewish Film Festival (BJFF) Shorts Program. You will also get a glimpse into what you can look forward to in this year’s Shorts Programs, which will open the Festival, scheduled for March 10-21, 2021.
Movie audiences love short films, so it was no surprise when this BJFF program immediately sold out. This special art form is often produced at the beginning of a filmmaker’s career and unfortunately has limited opportunities to be viewed by the public, either in theaters or in the home. A program of short films takes the viewer on a journey. Therefore, the order of the films must be carefully curated, with considerable attention being paid to the cumulative effect that they will have on the audience. Whether provocative, heart-wrenching, interesting, thoughtful, hilarious, and/or historical, there is something to engage and interest everyone. We’ve included films from around the world and since they are all of the highest quality, you may very well love them all! However, the beauty of a short film program is that if one film doesn’t work for you, another will be along in just a few minutes!
