EAST COUNTY —
Border Patrol agents rescued three undocumented immigrants from Mexico — two men and a 17-year-old boy — who were lost and out of drinking water Tuesday near the mountains in eastern San Diego County.
The boy called 911 about 7:35 p.m. and said he and the two others were lost, Border Patrol officials said. The group had illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in the mountains west of Calexico, Border Patrol officials said.
About 10 minutes after the call, agents found the two adults and the teenager. Two of them were located along county Route S-2 near the Coyote Mountains north of Ocotillo. The third was found south of the highway.
