Robinson, now 24, was acquired by Flin Flon in 2012 after he played his rookie junior season with the Drumheller Dragons of the AJHL.
While it can take a while to get to Flin Flon, the remoteness ended up being one of the aspects he appreciated most about his two seasons with the Bombers.
“After it’s all said and done, the thing I enjoyed most about playing in Flin Flon was how far out of the way it is,” Robinson said. “Teams don’t like to come up to Flin Flon to play us. We were ‘the team living on a rock up north somewhere,’ supported and held together by the entire town, and we were proud of that. Coming from a big city, the world around you in Flin Flon is just so small and simple, but yet it’s comfortable.”
