Bolivians elect governors, mayors, other local authorities
La Paz, Mar 7 (Prensa Latina) Polling stations open on Sunday in Bolivia to elect 4,962 governors, deputy governors, mayors, councilpeople and other local authorities.
The head of the Electoral Supreme Court (TSE, in Spanish), Salvador Romero, said this election will reinforce democracy and better public management, which was so much criticized during the de facto regime that ruled Bolivia following the coup against President Evo Morales in November 2019.
Over 7,1 million Bolivians are elligble to vote in an exercise that winds up the country's electoral program after the Executive and Legislative powers were restored, and now regional and municipal political structures are renewed.
