Boil water advisory for Nairn & Hyman Township - My Algoma Manitoulin Now

A boil water advisory has been issued in Elliot Lake in the Hutchinson Avenue vicinity.

Public Health Sudbury & Districts has issued a boil water advisory for Nairn & Hyman Township following an adverse water sample.
Public Health’s Health Protection Division manager Cynthia Peacock-Rocca says the advisory was put in place on Friday as a precautionary measure and it is not believed that anyone who consumed the water will experience any ill effects.
She says people who take water from the municipal system should not use it for drinking or food consumption and water should be boiled for at least a minute.
