Bluewater preparing for implementation of OPP Detachment Board

BLUEWATER – Councillors voiced their support for a five-person OPP Detachment Board for Huron County as Ontario’s Police Services Board framework is slated to be changed later this year – though costs associated with the board have councillors concerned.
Coun. Alwyn Vanden Berg was selected by councillors to attend meetings with Huron County municipal CAOs and elected officials alongside Bluewater CAO Laurie Spence Bannerman to “work towards consensus on the OPP Detachment Board representation.”
