Blue Ivy Carter is only eight years old, but in this year alone she's done everything from narrate the audiobook for
Hair Love to snagging a BET Award for her work on mom Beyoncé's song "Brown Skin Girl." Now, Blue can add "Grammy nominee" to her already-lengthy list of credits, making her one of the youngest of all time.
As noted by
Billboard, Blue and Bey were nominated for a Grammy for Best Music Video for "Brown Skin Girl" on Friday, December 11. According to
Billboard, Blue wasn't initially named on the nomination in November, but rather added later. Grammy rules require that “in order for a featured artist to be recognized as a nominee, 1) the artist must be credited and recognized as a featured artist; and 2) there must be significant performance and artistic contribution by the featured artist beyond what might be considered merely accompaniment.”
