Not sure if joe barton or the banning Biting Campaign would respond. There was some that people could take issue with, some factual assertions. Im sure the Fact Checkers will be busy tonight. By tomorrow morning, there will be a lot of debate over what was and wasnt an exaggeration, or as the president likes to call it, hyperbole. I did find one thing in the speech that i think everyone in the country agrees with, democrats, republicans, and socialists alike, and that is that this is the most important election in the history of this country. I have no doubt this will fight find unanimous consent. David that is a fascinating thing. Democracy is at stake here. Your decision could make or break democracy. We had donald trump tonight saying this would be the difference between the dreams of the country and demolishing our destiny. Its an important election, no question, but after all weve been through, civil wars, fought for our lives, terrorist attacks, really, whom we choose for president could destroy the legacy of this country . Thats pretty strong stuff. Its strong stuff and its coming from both sides. I think it speaks to the sides the fact that both sides see it critical to get their bases out. They are pulling out all the stops. The truth is, theres a stark choice between these two candidates. They are presenting such a vastly different picture of reality. You have the president acting as if hes not president of the United States and the violence going on in places like wisconsin has nothing to do. Its someone elses problem and he will be elected and fix that. And you have the democrats with their own view. Im just struck by how different, if you watch these events, how different the reality is. I also have to say, watching this tonight, it is stunning to see a Convention Like this, an acceptance speech done at the white house. These are beautiful fireworks were seeing, beautiful pictures. But the fact the president was referencing he was making a political speech at the white house, something we have to remember, sure, fdr made a speech on the radio accepting a nomination. But this is vastly different, something we dont see in the modern era. David not with visuals like this, thats for sure. You covered this at the white house. Does the white house have any hesitation at all . Is not just giving the speech at the white house. The secretary of state speaking from jerusalem, all sorts of things that crossed a line that has been respected in the past. Mario youre absolutely right. Not only that, a lot of the images, we saw a lot of the cabinet officials front row and center. As you mentioned, cabinet officials gave speeches as well. I think some of it is emblematic of the fact donald trump has really placed his fingerprints, his handprint if you will, on this Republican Party and made it in his image, at least for right now. David rick, i was struck by a couple things i heard from donald trump and throughout this campaign, career politicians. He is not a career politician. He will fight for you and he kept his promises. Rick yeah, considering four years of the presidency, he still think hes the outsider. He doesnt take any response ability for the country and the responsibility for the country and the trajectory. At all in fact, he thinks it is the on the wrong track and he will fix it. It is an interesting approach to see the man who has been running the country and the better part of the free world for the past. I think that will be fodder for joe biden and his team. I think they will try to contrast his unwillingness to take response ability for the condition responsibility for the condition the country is in, and the vast majority saying pressure it will work as well this time. David lets wrap it up on that point. Tomorrow, people go back to their concerns about their jobs and their houses and wellbeing, and putting food on the table. I wonder how much this will stick. Stephen the big question is what is going to be the price tag . Are they going to try to drive down the price . This is essentially a for sale, because of those two executive orioles orders from donald trump. However, we have two highpowered bidders and Microsoft Teaming up with walmart and oracle. We had talked and speculation that others like alphabet, the google parent, as well as twitter, even softbank from this. Had considered it looks as if it will come down to, microsoft walmart as well as oracle. And again, the price tag weve been talking about is anywhere between 20 billion and 50 billion is what analysts have been pegging. Thats a wide margin. We heard wedbush Analyst Daniel ives see the deal will likely come down to between 35 billion and 45 billion. But were hearing bytedance is seeking 30 billion. The numbers are all over the place because weve also heard from people saying earlier, twitter had floated an idea of about 10 billion for the price tag. So well have to see how this plays out, but people close to this impending deal say it could be worked out within days, if not within the next week. Theres a warm up in this, as well.
