Blair County Escaped Prisoner
Altoona police are searching for a man who reportedly escaped from the Blair County Prison on Thursday.
Police say 41-year-old William Hampton was last seen in the area of the Fairview Cemetery, located along the 1600 block of 9th Street, at approximately 7:40 p.m. Thursday evening.
Hampton is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He also has a prominent tattoo on his neck.
Police say he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, khaki pants with “Blair County Prison” written on the leg and a green bandanna.
Police advise the public NOT to approach Hampton, if seen.
