A BREWERY is to sell off a town centre pub which was once a fixture on the Blackburn town centre night-time drinking circuit.
The Grapes is going up for sale six months after the last tenant left due to difficulties brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
When the landlord left, Thwaites, which owns the pub at the corner of Northgate and King William Street, said it was looking to recruit a new tenant to re-open the pub.
However, just two years after investing in the pub, the brewery has now decided to place it up for sale along with three neighbouring retail units, a former two-storey office, dance hall and car park.
