Talking to ET, Tharoor insisted that the BJP won't succeed in its electoral mission in Kerala. "The BJP's communal bigotry has already hit the ceiling in Kerala. The BJP is a party that is stagnating at 12% to 13% votes in subsequent elections in Kerala. The only time it showed some growth in votes was in 2014 when Modi was talking more about development and about his vision. Now that Modi and BJP have doubled down on communalism in this election campaign, they are bound to be rejected by the people of Kerala".
