BJ’s Wholesale Club opened its 220th and 221st locations late last month with new clubs in Long Island City and Newburgh, N.Y.
The 79,000-square-foot club in Long Island City, located at 34-60 48th St., in the New York City borough of Queens, opened to the public on Jan. 29, a week after the opening of the 89,000-square-foot club at 401 Auto Park Place in Newburgh, about 60 miles north of Manhattan.
The two new clubs mark BJ’s 44th and 45th locations in New York, with the Long Island City store being the chain’s ninth New York City location.
“We’re excited to expand our footprint here in New York with the opening of our newest club in Long Island City,” Antonio Ramos, general manager of the Long Island City BJ’s, said in a statement. “Our team members have worked tirelessly to prepare for the club opening, and we’re so excited to bring a safe and convenient shopping experience to the local community.”
