Biswanath Villages Under Water, People Say No Food to Eat
People are already fighting COVID, now the first wave of flood has left many villagers with food and water and without proper shelter

Biswanath: Amidst the corona pandemic scare, the first spell of floods of this year has created havoc in some parts of Biswanath district in Assam. Incessant rains have resulted in the swelling up of the river Diring and the excessive waters have submerged a huge tract of land in the Barpathar area, compelling the people to take shelter in safe places.
s, the flood waters have swept away the connecting road of the Majuligarh and Barpathar, causing enormous difficulty and misery for the local populace. Local people informed that the flood waters from the swollen river inundated the village area during night time. The affected people hurriedly left their homes for safe places at night.
