Our Correspondent Imphal, May 10 (EMN): A start-up incubation centre funded by the Planning department was inaugurated at DM College of Commerce, Dhanamanjuri University in Imphal on Tuesday. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh along with Education, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister Thounaojam Basanta Singh, Vice-Chancellors Prof. N Rajmuhon Singh (DM University) and Dr. Bhabeswar Tongbram (Manipur Technical University) were present during the inaugural function. The incubation centre will be organising a three-month incubation training programme for 35 selected participants in the first phase. Speaking during the occasion, Biren Singh appreciated the discipline and hospitality shown by students of the University on his arrival. He recalled that Start-Up India was launched in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, the scheme was materialised in the state only after the formation of his government in 2017. Maintaining that youths of Manipur had got many talents and were hard working by nature, Biren Sigh lamented that lack of discipline, professionalism and ethics among the people have been giving hindrances to growth and development and even towards governance.
