Birbhum violence: Soon after the Birbhum arson claimed eight lives, including those of three women and two children, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ordered the state police to conduct raids and seize illegal weapons. The West Bengal Police has now launched such raids, which will be supervised by DIGs.
