The world’s fourth richest man, valued at $124.5 billion, told how he managed to stay positive when faced with impossibly large tasks.
He attributes part of his optimism to the amount of books he reads.
Gates has been a voracious reader of history which allows him to see the many possibilities the future holds.
"Overall, life is getting better - progress will continue to take place,” Gates said at a virtual summit in 2020. “From technology to telemedicine to advances in health care, we've opened up maybe 12 years of progress in just a year."
