The petrol station on Leeds Road
A PETROL station on one of Bradford’s busiest roads will be demolished and rebuilt if new plans are approved.
A new planning application calls for the shop and canopy at the Leeds Road filling station to be demolished. In its place a new shop, almost double the size of the existing one, and canopy would be built. The application also includes new underground storage tanks and extra parking spaces on the site.
Submitted by Dewsbury based AY & Y Patel Ltd, the application says: “The existing shop front gives the feel that it is quite dated and would benefit from a redevelopment that would not only enhance the site in terms of a visual aspect but it would also bring the site up to current standards by providing better improved facilities that are more suited to the modern motorists.
