Big game enthusiasts might consider Oklahoma as a destination for their next hunting adventure.
According to Morgan Gstalter at The Hill, this past week a representative from the Sooner State filed a bill calling for the institution of a hunting season for Bigfoot, the giant simian-esque creature that according to folklore roams fancy free in the forests of North America.
The legislation proposed by Republican state Rep. Justin Humphrey would direct the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission to set season dates, necessary licenses, and fees.
Humphrey, who was elected to the House in 2016 following a long career with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, believes an official Bigfoot season will bolster tourism in his district, according to ABC13: "Establishing an actual hunting season and issuing licenses for people who want to hunt Bigfoot will just draw more people to our already beautiful part of the state.”
