The city of Janesville’s recreation department is anticipating this spring and summer’s activity guide to be very popular. Recreation Director Shelly Slapak says after a year of COVID many facilities will be reopening. Slapak says the pandemic has also renewed an interest in outdoor activities. She says several new programs are being offered including a playground challenge, an outdoor mural hunt, and the permanent story walk. A copy of the city’s new Spring and Summer Activity Guide can be found on the recreation department’s page of the city’s website.
