HOLLAND TWP. — A bicyclist was killed after being struck by two vehicles in Holland Tuesday night.
The crash took place at 8:16 p.m. Feb. 16 on Waverly Road north of East Eighth Street in Holland Township.
Police said 42-year-old Jeffrey Green, of Holland, was riding a bicycle southbound on Waverly Road in the right traffic lane when he was struck from behind by a southbound vehicle. After being struck by the first vehicle, Green was struck by a second vehicle that was also southbound.
He was transported to Holland Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Green was riding without a functioning light on the rear of his bicycle and was not wearing a helmet.
