The rest of July is set to be a scorcher, with a 30C heat wave heading its way to Britain – the perfect weather to head to the coast.
With schools breaking up for the summer, and some travel restrictions still in place, now is the perfect time for families to hop in their cars and head to the nearest coast for some sea and sun fun.
While landlocked Herefordshire is clearly not renowned for its coastal walks, the highest-rated in the UK have been revealed, and some are within a couple of hours of Hereford.
Featured in the list is the Gower Peninsular in South Wales, around two hours from Hereford, and Llandudno in North Wales, around two-and-a-half hours away by car or train.
