Well Guy 90 people came and got their first shot here at new Bethlehem Baptist Church. That came to a surprise to those who organized this event. Some of the people I spoke with say trusted conversations they had with loved ones is what drove them here. David A. Bell had no plans to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Just be honest with you. Trust in the government and especially when it comes to the black community. So that counter, you know, really Had me on the fence. The 50 year old says her father helped her off that fence. Bell just met her dad for the first time in her life that let me know that he do care even though we haven't been in contact. But one of his first concern was me having the shot getting done. So you know, that kind of helped me. 12 year old Zachary turnip seed was a little nervous to tell me to hold on because I had to get my nerves together. He eventually got over his nerves and now the middle schooler is ready to safely be around his friends again. I'm excited for that part. But from other that then that's jefferson County District Attorney for the best summer cut off district linnaeus Washington, partnered with Cahaba Medical Center to vaccinate the community. The energy has been good, The people have really appreciated um, everything that's out here, appreciation, bell says goes a long way. I am just happy to see this going on and being offered to the black community and actually coming into the community. Now those who got there first shot here today will have to come back for their second dose on august 19th. As for whether this will happen again, organizers tell me they'll have to wait and see live in Bessemer. I'm Magdala lucent, WV tm 13
