Teams from the Gov. Mifflin and Daniel Boone school districts took home honors in a statewide STEM contest.
The STEM Design Challenge asked students to use K'Nex building blocks and recycled materials to design and build something to make a household appliance safer or more environmentally friendly.
Teams of two-to-four students had to design, build and present their creations. The presentations were done virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The competition was broken into two categories. One for students in fourth and fifth grades, and one for students in grades six through eight.
The winner of the fourth and fifth grade contest was Brecknock Flex Farm from the Gov. Mifflin School District. The team members were:
