The BBMP is planning to open 300 new centres for COVID-19 vaccination. Of these, 150 would be at private hospitals.

With the vaccination process gradually gaining pace, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in Bengaluru has decided to open 300 new centres, of which 150 would be in private hospitals. The centres would open starting Monday, the commissioner of the civic body confirmed.
Manjunath Prasad, BBMP's commissioner, spoke at a workshop for his healthcare staff at the Bengaluru Townhall on Friday where the development was confirmed. He confirmed that the centres are being developed and private hospitals are also being roped in order to accelerate the process of inoculation.
