Bend-La Pine Schools outline detailed plans for students' return to class by Feb. 8

BEND, Ore. KTVZ -- Parent Ryan Cartmill of Bend said he waited months for Bend-La Pine Schools to release its plans to return students to class.
On Thursday, that day came. The school district is planning to have students back in class fully Feb. 8.
“It seemed like it took longer than it should have," Cartmill said Thursday. "But at the same time, we are happy to have something to look forward to.”
He has three children in elementary school: a first-grader, third-grader and fifth-grader. They all attend Juniper Elementary.
Cartmill is one of many parents who has been calling for some time for schools to reopen.
