Becky Lucas is digital editorial project lead and a contributing editor at Condé Nast Traveller, following nearly five years as digital editor. She has lived on three different continents, in four different cities – Brighton, New York, Dubai and London – and has visited 57 countries so far. She was formerly insight and strategy editor at GQ where she won awards for audience growth and producing live video interviews with everyone from Gerard Butler to Joe Wicks to Stormzy and Raymond Blanc (the latter two together, over some wild pancakes), and helped launch the British brand's first podcast. Prior to that she was the first female editor of Time Out Dubai (when she was also the first journalist in the world to travel up the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building – before it was finished, which was unnerving), launch editor of Time Out Style and Time Out Tokyo’s first print magazine, and assistant editor on New York Times bestseller Pick Me Up. Becky has written features on all sorts of subjects for all sorts of titles – from gathering sex confessions for Cosmopolitan in her first job, to writing a monthly relationship column for Esquire, The Sunday Times' Dubai travel guide, and interviewing Gordon Ramsay, Pharrell Williams, Donald Trump and Kanye West (Gordon was, surprisingly, the least angry). When she's not working, you'll occasionally find her attempting to finish the novel she started in 2018 or heading off on a trip somewhere that she booked yesterday.
