Beaufort County school board approves 2021-22 calendar

The Beaufort County school board recently approved an academic calendar for 2021-22.
School will begin for students Aug. 16 and classes will end May 27, 2022, a Beaufort County School District news release said.
“Current state law mandates that no South Carolina public school can begin classes prior to the third Monday in August, which this year is August 16,” the release said.
The calendar includes holidays Sept. 6 (Labor Day); Nov. 11 (Veterans Day); Nov. 24-26 (Thanksgiving); Dec. 20 to Jan. 3, 2022 (winter break); Jan. 17 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day); Feb. 21 (President’s Day); April 11-15 (spring break); and May 30 (Memorial Day.)
