The Bears' starting offense had a brutal sequence in seven-on-seven drills. They went four consecutive plays without a completed pass. A ball from Justin Fields went off tight end Robert Tonyan's hands into the arms of cornerback Tyrique Stevenson. Then Fields' pass was too high for Chase Claypool, and safety Jaquan Brisker picked it off. Cornerback Jaylon Johnson batted away the next pass, which was intended for DJ Moore. And then Fields missed Darnell Mooney, with his pass too far in front of his intended target.Fields, though, wasn't too dejected after practice. He acknowledged it was a win for the defense, but appreciates the challenge."Every practice isn’t going to be perfect … It’s really good to actually have days like this, just to see how guys respond to a little bit of adversity," he said. "I think the guys definitely had more juice toward the end of practice. I just wanted them to have that the whole time; start off with that same juice. We’ve got to learn from our mistakes and continue to get better.”
