BCSD union members near deadline to vote on deal that would lead to return of in-person learning

BCSD union members accept memorandum that would lead to return of in-person learning

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Tuesday evening, members of the Bakersfield Elementary Teachers Association met their deadline to vote on their return to an in-person learning plan.
The memorandum between BCSD and BETA was accepted.
This means they will get COVID vaccinations for all staff, the district will be providing PPE and staff will get a $1,000 stipend for the rest of the school year.
Tuesday was the deadline for members of the Bakersfield Elementary Teachers Association to cast their votes on this deal.
