Year may amount to War Crimes and crimes against humanity. There have been a lot of violations and there are reasonable grounds to think that of these violations and dont amount to international crimes. Meanwhile the bbc has seen, first hand, the desperate conditions civilians are enduring in sudan. Aid agencies are warning the Hunger Crisis is of historic proportions. Our correspondent Nawal Al Maghafi has gained rare access to the city of Port Sudan and a key Border Area in neighbouring chad where refugees are still flowing out as Aid Agencies desperately try to get aid in. The faces of a forgotten war. These are some of the family scoffed at the centre of what is being called one of the worlds worst humanitarian crisis. We went to one of the largest Displacement Camps in darfur were a famine has been confirmed. It means that everyday children are of hunger. There are also local volunteers, normal citizens who decided one day that they would help the community. They have stepped in and a running soup kitchens, sometimes in the middle of a war zone. They are the only reason why some families are not going to bed hungry at night. The norwegian Refugee Council has helped more than 600,000 people since the beginning of the year, but this is not enough. We are talking about 25 Million people who are hungry. If you compare this scale, these numbers with the level of attention and political action that has been put on sedan, it is really unacceptable. I think we should also be against this mentality that there is this little amount of compassion and political attention Thats World leaders can spare on the crisis, crisis dont have to compete with each other, the suffering in Gaza And Ukraine and sudan, it must be given to the same level of attention. Matilda, thank you very much. In the us state of georgia a 1k Year old high School Student is expected to make his first Court Appearance in connection to the deaths of two students and two teachers. He faces four counts of felony murder. On thursday, the suspect s father, colin gray, was arrested for knowingly allowing his son to possess a weapon. Lets get more on this now with Cbs Correspondent jarred hill. Tell us more about what is happening on the legal front. This is a stunning Situation here where the father of the suspected School Shooter in georgia is being charged not only with manslaughter, but also with murder in this case. As you mention, all of this goes back to the allegation that he had knowingly provided the weapon for his son, not necessarily with the shooting but they say he gave him this gun. Also what is interesting is about a year ago the fbi, there were investigators that went to the home of the suspected shooter, spoke to the suspected shooter, spoke to the suspected shooter, spoke to the suspected shooter and his father about posting made on Social Media alluding to the potential of carrying out a school shooting. At the time the suspect said he did not pick those posts. Law enforcement said they didnt have enough probable cause to do anything further. Know about a year or so later we are in this Situation where it seems as though he has carried out a deadly shooting. As though he has carried out a deadly shooting. Four people were killed, two of them were students, 1a years old, the others were teachers. One of the teacher died in front of another student to save them. In The End it seems as though the suspected shooter was confronted by police and turned himself in, essentially. Late in the weapon and allowed for Law Enforcement are taken into custody. The question is what is the legal process coming out of this. What kind of convictions is comparable suspect as well as his father and this really tragic Situation. Let me update you on a Sentencing Today from the riots here in the uk in the summer. A man has beenjailed for taking part in a riot in rotherham on the 4th of august. Thomas burley pleaded guilty and was told he was unquestionably a dangerous offender. More on that coming up. This is bbc news. Hello. Its a day of big contrasts north to south across the uk. Weve got some heavy showers and some thunderstorms in the south, but for many of us, warm sunshine. Its going to feel quite humid out there for all of us. Do watch out for Heavy Rain, which may bring some localised flooding and some rumbles of thunder for southern England And South wales. 0n the Satellite Image you can see this Swirling Mass of cloud. You can see this this is marking an area of low pressure sitting across the Bay Of Biscay and its throwing towards us some quite humid air, but also those heavy downpours, as well. An easterly breeze further north, so any Mist And Fog that weve seen through this morning clearing away. Lots of long spells of sunshine for many areas. Its going to feel warm and humid, 25, 26 degrees for the likes of western scotland, north west england, as well. A few Degrees Cooler Close to the East Coast where youve got that breeze coming in off the sea, though heavy showers and thunderstorms will eventually start to ease away from southern England And South wales through tonight. There could be the Odd Spot of drizzle still around though. Further north, again, some mist and some fog patches, some low clouds, so a bit of a murky start to saturday, but certainly mild with temperatures sitting in the mid teens. So quite moist, humid air still with us as we head into the weekend. Weve still got this area of low pressure to the south on saturday, but a little bit of a quieter day i think. Not as many showers coming in, certainly compared to the Heavy Rain of today and yesterday. Still a fair amount of cloud and low Cloud And Mist in the north and the east. That should tend to break up, so, for most places, not a bad day. An improving picture again. Some really lovely, warm Sunshine And Light winds for Northern Ireland, much of scotland, northern england, wales, as well. Further south we have still got that cloud hanging on for the south of wales and southern england, bringing a few showers. More showers, though, as we head into sunday. They will be working their way north across england and wales. There could be the Odd Rumble of thunder, as well, but these showers will be hit and miss. There will be some warm spells of sunshine in between. Scotland and Northern Ireland having another largely dry and settled day. Temperatures not quite as warm as today, but were still looking at highs up to about 22 degrees. The warm air thats been with us as we head into next week will get shifted away towards the South And East as were going to open the doors for more of a north westerly airflow. That will certainly bring a colder Air Mass and a Real Change to the feel of the weather. So another few warm and humid days, with that Heavy Rain in the south, but into next week a drop in temperature for all of us, with a mix of sunny spells and scattered blustery showers. Bye bye. Today at one another new high jails in england and wales are holding the largest number of prisoners since records began. It comes just days before thousands of inmates are released earlier, to try and ease pressure on an overcrowded and struggling system. The Summer Riots helped drive the rise. In the last hour, the largest sentence so far has been handed down nine years injailfor Thomas Birley for arson at an Asylum Hotel in rotherham. Also on the programme. The bbc finds private tutors arent being checked for offending behaviour, and more than 90 have been convicted of sexual offences involving Young people. At least 17 children are killed in a fire inside a School Dormitory in central kenya. And polar Explorer Dwayne fields takes his place as the uks new Chief Scout, promising to make it a family for anyone. I think scouting has done so much for me personally. I want to give back and i think this is a great way to do it. And coming up on bbc news, england are put in to bat on an overcast
