It was definitely all worth it, running up to that finish line, i have done it five times, and four times before i was second, so i did not get to grab that tape, so i feel like this time i was running up to the line, i did not even slow down, all i was focusing on was getting that tape, it was amazing to do it, and it definitely feels like a huge weight is off my shoulders, it has been a journey to win this race, it has loomed over me in all of my training, i always feel like i have been like a bridesmaid at the World Championship so it feels amazing to finally be the champion. Now its storm babet, which the met office have named, will be pushing northwards during wednesday, wednesday night across the uk, then parking itself across the north of the uk for thursday and friday. And i can show you this, in fact, on the Rainfall Accumulation Anomaly you can see all areas seeing a lot of rainfall, but its eastern scotland, parts of Northeast England that bear the brunt. Some of the heaviest of the rainfall sits here, where we have some concerns with the risk of some localised flooding. But, because of the recent flooding across scotland, the ground is saturated.
