Yes, this has been a nearly twoyear long been a nearly two year Long Acquisition Process which has been fierce with a lot of pushback. Cma is the last major hurdle they create. The major issue the cma had with the Activision Blizzard deal was odd to most others in the industry, their issue with the cloud Gaming Market. It is currently about i Gaming Market. It is currently about 1 of the total Global Gaming market which is 188 billion, cloud Gaming Market is about 127 billion, and the concern they had was Activision Blizzard was have a monopoly or unfair advantage with this acquisition and this is something that was a Head Scratcher for us. We are glad this has got through, Activision Blizzard got this route by making what we think is a small concession by allowing a bit soft to sell these cloud gaming rights. Allowing ubisoft to sell these. fire allowing ubisoft to sell these. Are ou sa in allowing ubisoft to sell these. Are you saying the cma did not quite understand the sector . I would say that there was a understand the sector . I would say that there was a misunderstanding | that there was a misunderstanding around this acquisition and that the ftc also shared a misunderstanding around the concerns, given that with this acquisition, microsoft would have 11. 6 market share of the Global Gaming market. That is a far cry from a monopoly or any concerns that should have killed this opportunity. We that should have killed this opportunity that should have killed this ouortuni. ~. , opportunity. Jpmorgan chase has exceeded expectations and reported another highly profitable quarter but also warned inflation could persist. The Biggest Us Bank in terms of assets said recent middle east turmoil means this may be the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades. The lender reported Third Quarter profits of 13. 2 billion up 35 from the period a year ago behind the lift from higher Interest Rates on earnings. Lets go to Michelle Fleury in new york. What else did the bank say . Yes, these were pretty stark words from the ceo. He is known as being outspoken. As americas largest bank, it has been seen something as a Bellwetherfor The Uk economy bank, it has been seen something as a bellwether for the uk economy and his words carry more weight than other ceos. He told investors that they are now maybe in the most dangerous time the world has seen for decades, i think that people were surprised he was kind of so explicit. He warned wars in ukraine, israel and gaza may have far reaching impacts on energy and food markets, globaltrade reaching impacts on energy and food markets, global trade and geopolitical relationships. Still, despite this, the Worlds LargestBank Reported large quarterly earnings. Revenue rose 22 from one year ago, earnings. Revenue rose 22 from one yearago, more earnings. Revenue rose 22 from one year ago, more than forecast. You could say that the bank has benefited from the federal reserves increase in Interest Rates. We have seen troubles in the smaller Banking Sector where they have struggled to keep depositors who had pulled out their money as they chased higher returns elsewhere or higher Interest Rates. Jpmorgan, meanwhile, has charged more on loans while increasing payouts for deposits more slowly. That is how it has generated higher revenues. Going forward, he warned high Interest Rates could cause problems ahead for the us economy but, again, as i say, given their role as americas largest bank, this morning, i think, their role as americas largest bank, this morning, ithink, carries more weight and more attention is paid than remarks from someone else. We have about one minute. Talking about lay offs, they have avoided laying off people unlike their peers. Its not going to continue . Look, it goes to the point i was just saying about how well they have done can add a small or medium sized banks. Earlierthis done can add a small or medium sized banks. For more stories from across uk, head of the bbc news website. Welcome back, you are watching bbc news. Ijust want welcome back, you are watching bbc news. I just want to take you some of these Life Pictures we are getting into the building here at the bbc. These are from various live locations around the region. This is on the west bank, separate from back gaza. You can see the fire and smoke and the people on the streets. We have been keeping across these pictures for the last hour or so. We have seen people out on the street throwing stones, gathering tires, presumably to set on fire. This comes after reports from the Reuters News Agency of a number of palestinians shot dead by Israeli Forces in the west bank, again, not in gaza. We will be heading to gaza in gaza. We will be heading to gaza in a moment. These details coming through was from the west bank. Let us take you now to more Life Pictures. This is a different street, we have seen people there. So, there have been reports from the Reuters News Agency of three or four palestinian shot dead by Israeli Forces. We are working to establish the details of that incident. That street is pretty empty at the moment. There have been people there as we have been keeping across those Life Pictures. Let us take you live to gaza. This is the skyline. People we now know are on the move there in gaza right now, moving from north to south. The Israeli Defense forces have asked for 1. 1 million civilians to move from north to south. That is in 2a hours, presumably ahead of intensification of their military operations. The response, though, to that 24 hour deadline, to move 1. 1 Million People has been strong from a number of organisations. We have had it rejected by mahmoud abbas, who is not in control in gaza. And various aid agencies as well. We had the statement from the United Nations relief and works let us show you the map of exactly what is being asked for. This is gaza. The yellow areas are the densely populated urban areas, lots of People Living very close to each other in gaza city. That is not gaza, there. That is the area they want 1. 1 Million People to move south. There is pretty much one main road n. To south, we have seen some of the damage in gaza its self making movement difficult. Our correspondent inside gaza has seen people moving by any means that they can but, of course, there are plenty of people in hospital, people receiving treatment he cannot leave, and plenty of others who simply say that they will not. Earlier i spoke to our correspondent, jon donnison. I asked him for the latest on the ultimatum to gazans from israel to move south. We are now hearing from gaza that thousands of people are beginning to move south. Our correspondent there has said there are long queues of cars heading in that direction, but its not going to be 1. 1 Million People in 2a hours. You cant shift 40,000 people an hour. Theres the question of where do they go when they get there . Where are they going to live, where theyre going to stay . And also, how do you shift people who are in Intensive Care . Doctors are saying you cant move the disabled, the injured. So, i think the big question is going to be what happens after 2a hours when israels Ultimatum Passes . Now, in the past, when theyve given warnings that theyre going to target specific areas, they have followed through with that threat. And there has been very, very heavy bombardment on this occasion. You know, those 1. 1 Million People, theyre just not going to get out the way. So theres a question of what will israel do . They say its hamass problem. They say its their responsibility to ship those people. Theyve given the warning. They dont want to target civilians. The question will, as i say, be what do they do when the deadline passes . And do we have any indication on the planning, the military readiness for a Ground Assault . We dont. And i mean, we know that there are more than 300,000 troops, including reservists, massing at the border. I was talking to our correspondent Rushdi Abualouf yesterday in gaza, and he was saying that theres a large area along the coast just to the north of gaza, which israeli warplanes flattened yesterday. And he was suggesting that perhaps israel was preparing to attack from the sea. What they want to do is they want to get in and they want to take out hamass top leadership, which we believe are hiding in bunkers most likely underneath gaza city. But that is going to be an incredibly complex, difficult operation. Youll remember back in 2014, when the israelis went in, in a much more limited fashion, there were more than 60 Israeli Soldiers killed. And hamas are going to be ready for this. You know, theyre going to be prepared. Theyre expecting it. So its not going to be easy. We dont know when its going to happen. But this news of the mass evacuation, its added to speculation that its going to be soon. And john, can i touch again on this 2a hour limit that was given . Because the response to it by various un agencies, diplomats, different groups has been very, very strong indeed. Is there any sense that this 2a hour time limit for all those people to move that you were outlining right at the beginning could soften, could change . Well, look, youre right. I mean, the un has asked the israelis to withdraw this evacuation order. Hamas, for its part, has said its urged people not to go. Now, we did hear a briefing from an Israeli Military spokesperson this morning and he was asked, look, it was put to him that, you know, theyre simply not going to get 1. 1 Million People to evacuate in 2a hours. And he accepted that, to be honest. He said they realised that and that it was difficult. And he said that the israelis were doing everything they could to to make it easier. Its difficult to see what that could be. And as i say, you know, were waiting to see what they do when that 2a hour period is up, which will be in the early hours of saturday morning. The World Health Organization says that that local Health Authorities in gaza have informed it that its impossible to evacuate vulnerable Hospital Patients from northern gaza
