Properly a little later. Ukraine says a russian attack on a village in the east of the country has killed at least 50 people. That would make it the deadliest Missile Strike in months. Officials said a cafe and a shop were hit in the village of hroza, not far from kupiansk. A six year old boy is said to be among the dead. There has been intense fighting in the region in recent weeks, with russia attempting to recapture territory it lost last year. This latest russian attack took place in the middle of the day, as european leaders were meeting in the spanish city of granada, with ukraine one of the big issues being discussed. President zelensky made a point of being at the talks in person. He asked european leaders for more air defence missiles and said other countries could thank ukraine for protecting them from russian aggression. We must not allow putin to destabilise any other parts of the world and our parties in order to ruin europes power. We must continue to put pressure with sanctions politically and economically so that russia cannot spread chaos. The presence of russia, its military or proxies on the territory of any other country is a threat to all of us, im sure, and we must Work Together to push russia out of the territory of other countries. There is a political crisis in the us, and a rising tide on the right there of fatigue with the war. But a realisation in europe that its hard to continue that struggle against the russian invasion without The Americans involved. The European UnionsForeign Affairs chief has warned that political infighting is threatening washingtons ability to fund the ukrainian military. Ukraine needs the support of the european union, which is sure that we have it and we will increase it, but also the support of the us. My hope, the hope of the ukrainians and i think that everybody that doesnt want putin winning this war is to look for the ways for the us to retake this issue and continue supporting ukraine. But the European Commission president Ursula Von Der Leyen was more possitive. As ukraine needs predictability. And reliability in the direct budget support, as far as i oversee the situation in the United States, i am very confident of support for ukraine from the United States. Spains Prime Minister, pedro sanchez, says his country cannot cope with irregular immigration without help from the european union.
