Playing the quarterfinals, so to get to the final is just amazing. The players. To the final is just amazing. The players, we know how good we are, and we players, we know how good we are, and we have players, we know how good we are, and we have to keep pushing. Wednesay s 2nd semi final is expected to be a sell out at the 81,000 capacity Stadium Australia and ttheres Fighting Talk from both camps and as austraia and england renew their Sporting Rivalry once again. Being knocked out by anyone is kind of unthinkable. Theres probably a lot of english people that would love to see us knocked out by england, but i think theres more australians that would love to see england knocked out by us. So in terms of the rivalry, again we have such big rivalries with so many different countries, so itsjust another game for us. Obviously, england are such a top team, like tony has been talking about, but we have been taking one game at a time and it seems to be working for us so far, and that will be the same tomorrow night. I asked the players and i asked staff, and for them, we dont feel that rivalry that much. The main thing is that there was a lot of rivalry in rugby and cricket, and last week in netball, so we just know it is a very competitive game. Lots of players from australia also play in the Womens Super League so they know each other really well and of course they want to beat us and we want to beat them. That is the main competitiveness we will get in front us tomorrow. Steven gerrard and Jordan Henderson made a winning start to life in the Saudi Pro League as al ettifaq came from a goal down to beat al nassr. Henderson and former Liverpool Team mate sadio mane were captains of their respective sides while gerrard was on the touchline for his first competitive match. Things began badly for the former liverpool captains as mane put al nassr in Front Afterjust three minutes despite them missing the majority of their big name signings. The absence of those stars would prove costly ultimately as al ettifaq rallied immediately after the break. Hendersons corner was fumbled allowing Robin Quaison to stab home from close range. The hosts then completed their comeback six minutes later when former fulham, celtic and lyon striker Moussa Dembele was on hand to ensure a debut three points for his new side. Owen farrell is free to play in the world cup after his red card against wales on saturday was overturned. It was thought owen farrell would receive at least a three match ban which would have ruled him out of the world cup opening game with argentina. And thats all the sport for now. Thanks so much. Lets return to afghanistan where its been two years since the taliban takeover. The un says the country is experiencing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world, and has warned of a huge shortfall in funding and a deepening economic crisis. Women and girls have faced severe restrictions since the taliban came to power, including the banning of girls from secondary schools. These are the latest images from kabul where the taliban marked the anniversary with celebrations and a public holiday, saying no invader would be allowed to threaten the country. Flags of the Islamic Emirate of afghanistan the talibans formal name for the country fluttered across the capital. Our chief International Correpsondent lyse doucet, spoke to the uns resident humanitarian coordinator for earlier i spoke to sahra karimi. Shes an Film Director and former head of Afghan Film That was a Government Body in charge of cinema in afghanistan before it was closed down by the taliban. Sahra was evacuated on the day the taliban arrived in kabul. She told me her thoughts two years on from the taliban takeover. So the feeling that women of afghanistan are imprisoned and they cannot go to school, they cannot go to work. The people of afghanistan are starving. They are jobless and the freedom is gone. And there is no art, there is no music, there is no cinema, there is nothing that gives value to the society. And those people, the taliban, are celebrating what . They are celebrating because they came to power and to push people to a miserable life. I dont know why they are celebrating. And you know that after two years, we all know that what happened to afghanistan, what happened to girls of afghanistan, what happened to culture and art of afghanistan. So what happened to economy and also to political life of afghanistan. So we just stopped living a normal life. Just just so that we can really get a sense of how dramatic the change has been in yourfield in terms of art, culture, cinema. What was it like before the taliban came to power . Paint us a picture of the kind of art, the thriving art scene that existed. The artists, especially filmmakers, musicians and writers. We were trying our best to reflect the reality of our society through our artworks. So, the situation wasnt a golden situation, but we were trying. We had freedom of speech, we had freedom of creation. So because of that freedom, we could explore what we wanted through our works. But now there is no freedom. There is a censorship. And the taliban, they dont allow people to express their opinion openly and freely. So most artists and most filmmakers, musicians, painters, writers, they left afghanistan. Afghanistan is empty of its open minded, of its intellectual and its youth, you know. I almost hate to ask you this question, and its because im really worried about what your answer will be. But do you have any hope for the future that things might change . Hope is something now kind of a very distant dream for us, you know, especially for our generation and especially for girls of afghanistan, because under the taliban regime, there is no hope because they are messenger of darkness and backwards minded people, you know. I hope that i can have a hope. You know, i can say that what is going on in afghanistan is miserable. What is going on in afghanistan is something so, so, so bad. And unfortunately, the International Community and foreign countries, european countries, all countries, they just look at us and they dont do any action. And they are still continuing their interaction with the taliban. They are still continuing sending money to afghanistan under the pretext of humanitarian aid. But a girl of afghanistan is dying. A girl of afghanistan is dreaming to go to school. But she cannot because somebody somewhere ordered that girls of afghanistan cannot go to school. So i just want to answer your question with the question that how can you have a hope in this kind of situation when everything is so hopeless, everything is so dark, everything in front of you is dying . Even your dreams, even your small, small desire to be a free, a free person, you know. So i hope that i have a hope. I hope that girls of afghanistan have hope. Im sorry. Because what is going on in afghanistan is not fair. You know, it is not fair. Your pain is so obvious to see. And im so sorry. Its such a sad day for you. But we so appreciate of you talking to us and for putting the message out there of what you would like to see change and what you would like from the International Community. Its really important. Its a very valuable voice. Its been very good to talk to you. Thank you very much forjoining us very much. Thank you. Yesterday, many places had a real deluge. Today, much drier, much brighter. Over the next few days it will turn warmer, as well, with increasing levels of humidity, but its not completely plain sailing. Still some showers around through the afternoon, particularly affecting parts of Northern England and scotland, there could well be the Odd Heavy One here, but a lot of dry weather, some spells of sunshine and temperatures of 21 degrees in glasgow, 20 in belfast, but 25, maybe 26 in parts of eastern england. Through the evening, most of the showers will fade, but we will keep more cloud across the north and the east of scotland and parts of North East England as we go through the night. A few spots of rain with that. Elsewhere, some clear spells. It will be a relatively cool night for some parts of east wales, the West Midlands and down into the west country. Across southern england, wales, parts of Northern England, Southern Scotland and Northern Ireland there could be some patchy fog tomorrow morning and, at this time of year, that fog can tend to linger for a couple of hours through the morning rush hour. It should then tend to lift and clear. For most, theres going to be a lot of dry weather, spells of sunshine and just the small chance of catching a shower. More cloud generally clinging on across some northern and eastern parts of scotland, with some showers here. The highest temperatures down towards the south east corner, up to around 26 celsius. As we move out of wednesday into thursday, this area of High Pressure tends to shift north eastwards and the winds begin to come in our direction from the near continent, which will bring some warmer air across more parts of the uk. So a warmer feeling day on thursday, quite humid, as well. Some fog patches to start off, particularly across parts of Northern England and scotland. One or two showers, but a lot of dry weather, some spells of sunshine and temperatures for many spots getting into the low to mid 20s. We could see 25, maybe 26 degrees around some or western parts. That warmth will try to hold on into friday. Theres Uncertainty Aboutjust how warm friday might be because we see frontal systems approaching from the atlantic and, depending on just how quickly the cloud and the rain arrives, well, temperatures may be somewhat suppressed. We will see outbreaks of rain pushing in from the south west, some heavy thundery bursts, and temperatures generally in the low to mid 20s. Borders of the live from london, this is bbc news.
