Israeli Security Forces say they have killed three alleged Palestinian Militants in the north of the occupied west bank, near the juh neen refugee camp. The camp was the focus of a Major Military operation last month. It marks a further escalation in a wave of violence over the weekend. Youre live with bbc news. An inquest is due to begin today into the death of a 27 year old man, which his family believe was linked to mould in their privately rented home. Luke brooks died from respiratory problems last year. The case will be heard by the same coroner who investigated the death of two year old awaab ishak, who died due to Mould Exposure in 2020. What is life like for you at the moment . Oh, god. Nightmare. Absolute nightmare. Afraid of the house they were living in. Shouldnt be doing that. Its all wet. We first visited jimmy and patsy about three months ago. Its where luke died. They believe all this killed him. It started, he said, mum, my chest feels a bit bit sore. I said, right, i said, well keep an eye on it. And he progressively got worse, to the point where he could hardly breathe. Two days after, dead, gone. Mould was everywhere, it was even on their clothes. Caused by nine years of disrepair, they believe, and constant leaks. Second leak. You can see its going down the walls. I was stood here, i was doing sandwiches for my son. Next minute, i felt the drip and the next minute i got a shower. Every time they go in the shower, that leaks. Thats dangerous, that. Im frightened of one of them getting electrocuted up there. Theres wires there. What has the landlord done about it . Nothing. Ill get it sorted. Everythings knackered in here. Waste of space, man. This is lukes room. Where was the mould . All around the windows. Its ridiculous. Its freezing cold. When mould forms across here, my mind starts racing and then i start thinking about him and ijust cant stop crying. He was my rock, my best mate. Beautiful lad. Why couldnt they just sort it out . Why couldnt they just fix it . Id have looked after it. Nine years of hell weve had, nine years of hell. Surviving the cold. Surviving this, surviving that. It shouldnt be about surviving. Ive not had a life, me and my husband, or my family. Its just been this house. What are we going to do . What can. How can we do. . Get out of here. What can we do . You know what i mean . Ive tried. This all feels quite familiar because the hearing into lukes death is being held by the same coroner and in the same court as the awaab ishak inquest, the little toddler who died from Mould Exposure in his home. And at that inquest, we heard there was concern about this automatic assumption that in houses like these across the uk, its tenants and their lifestyles that are to blame. And patsy and jimmy have told us they did everything. They said they even used Mould Treatment themselves. They played their part, they say, and they want this inquest to find out if their landlords and other authorities played their part, too. Weve approached the landlord for comment but havent yet had a response. Meanwhile, both the department for Levelling Up Housing and communities and Oldham Council expressed their deepest condolences and said they were unable to discuss the case until the inquest was over. His eldest son is now the new Prime Minister although he has to go before parliament to have his new government confirmed in the next couple of weeks but that is in your formality as well because the ruling party, which is very much his own vehicle, completely dominates parliament after an election in which the main opposition was actually banned from contesting it. So the new Prime Minister is a much youngerface, a different younger face, a different generation, youngerface, a different generation, little known relay, has been very prominent in the Cambodian Army and western educated, unlike his father, who came up through the crucible of a revolution, a very different background, but not tested in politics.
