Has reclaimed his World Championship belts from andy ruinr, becoming only the fourth heavyweight in the sports history to win a direct rematch. Dame helen mirrenjoined crowds in Trafalgar Square last night as thousands of people in cities around the world camped overnight to raise cash to tackle homelessness. Before the papers sport and for a full round up, from the bbc sport centre, heres olly foster. Good morning. So nice to have a boxing match that he didnt have to stay up until the middle of the night for it was night, i was on an early shift this morning but it was worth it it was nice. Anthonyjoshua is heavyweight champion of the world again after beating andy ruinunior on points. Six months on from one of the biggest shocks in boxing history, joshua regained his three titles with a clinical victory in saudi arabia. Our Sports Editor dan roan was there. It was a fight he simply dare not lose. As he strode to the ring here at the edge of the desert, anthonyjoshua knew his career and credibility were on the line. Opponent andy ruinunior, intent on proving his shock victory in theirfirst meeting earlier this year was no fluke. But after cutting the mexican inside the first round, a slimmed down joshua never looked back. Using his jab to expertly control the rounds and Constant Movement to keep his distance from his much heavier rival. It wasnt a classic. The fight never turning into the explosive slugfest that saw ruiz stun the boxing world back in june. Instead, a far more composed joshua kept to his plan, racking up the points, and gaining revenge with a unanimous victory. The british fighter able to celebrate becoming just the fourth heavyweight in history to regain his world title at the first attempt. Tonight was just about winning and trusting my process. I know maybe i could have done more at times, but sometimes simplicity is genius. And that was the motto keep it simple cause its going to lead to a genius performance. You know, i think i felt too confident, and all that, but i think i should have trained harder. I should have listened to my team and to my coaches. Anthonyjoshua can now celebrate a defining victory that restores his reputation among the true giants of a compelling heavyweight division, back in boxings big time. Dan roan, bbc news, diriyah. So what next forjoshua, the one title he hasnt got is the wbc title held by the american Deontay Wilder. Heres our reporter ade adedoyin. That is the fight well want to see, a bout between anthonyjoshua and Deontay Wilder, he has the wbc belt. His next match will be a rematch between him and tyson fury, we are told the date is 22nd of february but as far as anthonyjoshua is concerned, he will have a break and get back in the gym. He has mandatory obligations but long term he will be focusing on either of those two men. His career is on track. He has many long term options but what we do want to see is a unification battle between Deontay Wilder or a huge domestic wild up between tyson fury. Weve heard how Manchester City are working with the police after Manchester United players were targetted with racist abuse yesterday, but they are also 14 points behind liverpool following defeat in the Manchester Derby united winning 2 1. Marcus rashford opened the scoring for united from the penalty spot following a foul by bernardo silva. Anthony martial doubled that lead minutes later, although Nicolas Otamendis late reply set up a thrilling finale, the visitors held on for what was arguably ole Gunnar Solskjaers most impressive victory since taking charge. But another poor result from pep guardiolas champions. They are so fast, so quick and sometimes, when you lose the ball in some position, it is more difficult. But. We tried. We arrived in the final third many, many, many times. We could not be more clear there and of course, the counter, they can run. Maybe a little bit more than usual, especially the first minutes, but in general the team played really good. So citys hopes of retaining their ttile are fading, so citys hopes of retaining their title are fading, liverpooljust keep on winning. They won 3 0 at bournemouth and have an 11 point lead over second placed leicester who play this afternoon. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain scored the pick of the goals forjurgen klopps side with naby keita and mo salah also on the scoresheet. Really had to control the game, obviously bournemouth was more and more insecure, lost two players with an injury. It was for sure not a good day for bournemouth. And we had the chance to bring it over the line. The most used word in the dressing room at the moment is clean sheet. Clean sheet, finally. Everton sacked their manager in midweek after their defeat in the Merseyside Derby but temporary manager Duncan Ferguson got off to a winning start as everton beat chelsea 3 1 at goodison park. Ferguson, a former everton player, was exuberant in his celebrations embracing one of the ball boys as that win moved everton out of the relegation zone. It was an unbelievable atmosphere and a great feeling for myself that is to is the players who need the credit. We just get the communication and back in shape. But it is difficult to get that into their players but i thought they we re their players but i thought they were fantastic. They worked really well off the ball. And tottenham beat burnley 5 0 at home, harry kane scored twice but this was the pick of the goals, perhaps goal of the season, son heung min picked up the ball at the edge of his own area, to score the third for spurs. It moves them up to sixth position. There are four matches in the premier league among them, second placed leicester travel to aston villa. Where therell be tributes paid there to villas former manager ron saunders, whos died at the age of 87. Arguably their greatest manager of all time. He was the only manager to have taken charge of three midlands clubs aston villa, west brom and birmingham. He guided villa to the First Division title in 1981 and also won two league cups during his eight years at villa park. He also had spells in charge of birmingham and west brom. There were wins for st mirren, hibernian, livingston and hearts yesterday in the scottish premiership. All eyes will be on hampden park today as celtic and rangers meet in the league cup final. Steven gerrard is looking for his first major trophy as rangers boss, while celtic could win a tenth consecutive domestic trophy. Not for me, its for the team and the players, really. If we win it then it ticks another box for my career, which would be nice, but im hopeful, because it is on the team, the players, you know putting on a performance to get over the line. Dont forget, you can go to the bbc sport website. More reaction to anthonyjoshuas sport website. More reaction to Anthony Joshuas fight sport website. More reaction to anthonyjoshuas fight in saudi arabia. Thats all the sport for now. Now on bbc news, its time for the papers. Hello and welcome to our look at the papers. With me are rosamund urwin, senior reporterfrom the sunday times and chief political commentator from the independent, john rentoul. I suppose you dont get much of a saturday night you, at least, did get a saturday night . saturday night you, at least, did get a saturday night . I did, i finished my work yesterday thank you for coming in, both of you. Lets have a look at the papers. The observer leads with calls for tactical voting to stop borisjohnson getting a majority. The daily mail has comments from the head of nazi hunting organisation the Simon WiesenthalCentre Saying the election ofJeremy Corbyn would be a disasterfor democracy. The sunday telegraphs front page features conservative plans for a strict immigration system for unskilled workers. The sunday times has leaked internal documents about labours record in tackling anti semitism cases. The sunday express leads with borisjohnson saying this election is the last chance to leave the eu. And away from politics, the sunday mirror has a story about the criminal past of one of the im a celebrity contestants. Lets plough in with the sunday telegraph. And the migration story. It is really interesting. You could argue that the tories have not had a great story to tell on immigration because of the target of reducing net migration to below 100,000 but they continually failed to meet that but they clearly think it is one of their best cards in this campaign . Well yes, but we have had relatively little about immigration during this general election and that is because of brexit. Numbers are coming down. Obviously that is eu immigrants, we have achieved something in making this country less appetising to people. The telegraph have gone in on lowest skilled migrants, one thing that strikes me about that is, who on earth is going to stuff our ca re who on earth is going to stuff our care homes . And plenty of other industries too but particularly care homes where we do not have enough staff. It is not a well paid sector. They are already in crisis. These are not considered highly skilled jobs, although i would argue that they are very importantjobs and we should think about them differently but this is a bid to tackle unskilled immigration that i think we will find it creates an awful lot of problems too. There is a difficulty. The strict limits, there does not seem to be much argument about high skilled jobs, things that we may not be able to fill yet. People of talent, i think. As you say, that can mean talent. But this is potentially a big political problem for all parties, and for whoever ends up in government. How do we go from a system where anyone in the eu can come in, or a system where we want to reduce the number of people coming in overall but the jobs demand is that we need people. The conservatives want to reduce numbers but the labour party have not been specific about target salt. Frankly, there is an election on and the sunday telegraph has got a tory press release the sunday telegraph has got a tory piess release on the sunday telegraph has got a tory press release on the front page, australians style point system. What a load of nonsense can we move on . You have made your point, we will move on the observer. Let it never be said that we are not responsive to our guests in the observer, i have heard about tactical voting before, the observer says, we have got a lovely photograph here at Jeremy Corbyn and his beard. got a lovely photograph here at Jeremy Corbyn and his beard. the quy Jeremy Corbyn and his beard. the guy on the right has a better beard may be in his younger days it would have been a bit redder. That thatch is in swansea. Could tactical voting make a difference . Theres a huge push in the last week to advocate it and draw peoples attention is to the tactical situation in individual seats. The independent is doing that too. We want people to vote for parties who support a second referendum. The problem i have with that, is tactical voting is all about process. It isnt about the issues involved in the election. I wonder how much it cuts through to people. I dont think it has particularly cut throat. There is polling that shows the tactical voting message has not really got through cut through. I was in walton this week, Dominic Raabs seat. He has an enormous majority of 23,000 there. He is very likely to hold onto that seat. It is difficult to imagine them without a conservative mp famously brave european. I do think the constituency will vote to remain but ina constituency will vote to remain but in a place like that, there are other examples where the majority are smaller but that messages getting through. It is a liberal democrat challenge. Walking around with Monica Harding that message was getting across to people. It is unlikely to have an effect that there are seats like that where it will come into play. Im still getting over the shock of hearing john major, conservative Prime Minister not that long ago, telling people in their constituencies where they are conservative candidates to vote for someone else. I cant remember that happening before. The only other example i can think of this tony blair calling on labour supporters to vote for the best placed candidate to defeat the tories, in order to promote. Back to brexit. Where they have kept the focus on brakes and everybody, even if they dont agree, is talking about it. He made the point, a general election is not the best way to decide the brakes issue. It is about other things as well but theres still this push to try and stop brexit. Rosamond, beards on the front of your newspaper as well. This is the traditional fake santa beard. Does it count, as an endorsement . Shaking boriss hands . We may find other santas are backing other candidates other father christmases are available this is the investigation into allegations of anti semitism in the labour party and how it handles them. These are internal party documents that have been exposed here and they show the way, obviously this is not new information in the sense of we know it isa information in the sense of we know it is a problem for the labour party and has been a problem for a long time now. But there are new cases here. Exactly. Do you think because it has been a problem for so long, and because people have talked about it for so long, that it is almost factored into the election already. People put off by these allegations have already decided they are not voting and decided it before the campaign. What do you think . people read what happened to luciana berger, for example, and watching that play out. The former mp for liverpool, now running as a lib dems in london . Yes, what happened to her is so grim. It has been priced in. There are people very put off by this but i would add, and im not justifying any of this, i think the labour party have handled this shamefully. We had a story today that the conservatives are investigating three candidates for anti semitism as well. It is a problem everywhere in society but labour has handled it really, really badly. And they had the chance to actually address the issues early on. And they didnt do that. Theyve allowed people to remain in the party who have abhorrent views. This goes to the top. The problem the labour party has is that people thinkJeremy Corbyn is prejudiced against jewish thinkJeremy Corbyn is prejudiced againstjewish people, but they dont think that of Boris Johnson. It isa dont think that of Boris Johnson. It is a problem for the labour party. Some of these cases are shocking, you look at what people have said, and then they are given a warning, no suspension, no expulsion, every time Jeremy Corbyn is interviewed about this, he says that he has put in the mechanism, new procedures to put in what he calls agree just cases. Thats not word to use, it means shocking. What he is saying is, ive dealt with the worst cases but there are all of these lesser cases that i dont really care about. And he cannot use the word anti semitism, he always says anti racist. He cannot take it down to the level talking about a specific attitude a considerable number of people in my party have towards a specific community. That is what i found frustrating. It is like a blind spot. And i would also say there is unsophisticated understanding not just from him say there is unsophisticated understanding notjust from him but from the leader about what anti semitism is, and i think we all need to think about why so often issues around israel, i am an Irish Catholic but my catholicism is not tied up in anyway and ireland. But clearly, the relationship between israel and jewish people is rather different, and any sophisticated analysis would accept that and i think you cannot listen to that view. Very struck talking to people who describe themselves as liberal jewish people, in new york last week, saying youve got to understand that people have turned against them everywhere in the world. You need a place that is a lwa ys world. You need a place that is always a century and that is a symbol of us. Defend israel even if you dont agree with the government. Sanctuary. Lets move on to the story about baby boomers. Illustrated with a borisjohnson cartoon. What are they trying to say . lets hope theres one born every minute. That is the words attributed to Boris Johnson. Every minute. That is the words attributed to borisjohnson. It looks like it has been put on the front page. Borisjohnson has said that there was a baby boom after the 2012 london olympics and there will be another baby boom if you vote for the conservatives. That is not true. Birth rates between 2009 2012, 2013 was a high point on the birth rate because it had been low for a long time. The idea that there was an olympic baby boom is nonsense but it is on the front of your paper and there we dont agree with the olympic part. He said it was agreeing with his claim. The shadow a rts agreeing with his claim. The shadow arts minister predicting if there was a labour win in 1997, people in britain would have a better sex life . I do remember that, and i think borisjohnson has said similar things, if you vote for him as london mayor. Perhaps it is his own contribution . It allows him to put forward speculation. They already have the dog. On the sunday mirror, a big interview withJeremy Corbyn but they do not bother to put it on the front page. It isnt very big. On pages 8 9. It is a meaty interview. They accompany him to a bingo hall. We think here he is learning to be a barrister. They have a few hours with him. He is addressing some of the issues that have come up in the campaign, as you would expect. The idea people think he is not safe to leave, he is very dismissive of that. He says it is borisjohnson is dismissive of that. He says it is Boris Johnson is imagination. Dismissive of that. He says it is borisjohnson is imagination. He talks about the nhs. It is interesting, he is not on the front page of the sunday mirror. This is just before the general election. A big labour supporting tabloid. But perhaps not supporting ofJeremy Corbyn, or its readers. The opening paragraph is about howJeremy Corbyn does not like personal attacks but fiow does not like personal attacks but now he is attacking borisjohnson personally. But you read it, looking for this vicious personal attack. If you are foreign secretary, you ought to be representing your country and treating people with respect. If thatis treating people with respect. If that is a personal attack, goodness me thats one of the things i like aboutjeremy me thats one of the things i like about Jeremy Corbyn, he me thats one of the things i like aboutJeremy Corbyn, he does not engage in abuse. One of the reasons why he was so useless in the television debate, both of them, is he will not go after his opponents. That is not his approach. Which makes for less interest in television, but possibly better politics. Do we want our leaders to be going for vicious personal attacks . At a time where mps get an awful lot of horrible abuse, some of which is at a criminal level, i do wonder if actually, making the case for kinder politics is a good move. Iagree, for kinder politics is a good move. I agree, but you have to be able to, perhaps wittily committees your opponent, or make fun of their position, or mock them. That is a cce pta ble position, or mock them. That is acceptable and would make for a more interesting campaign. But the fact is, Jeremy Corbyn does not even do that. Boris johnson did less of that than he might have as well. Absolutely, he could get into trouble for using colourful language. Sometimes his language has got him into trouble in the past. Lets end, this is an awful story for the man concerned, peter teach, he has lost a lot of moneyjust because his sort code was wrong, the bank sort code. Its astonishing. He made a single digit error when he was transferring an enormous sum, his inheritance from his father, £193,000. But the story says that he had the account number correct. So somebody had the same account as him but with one different sort code. It is very prising to me. Barclays bank have offered him £25 in response for losing £193,000 unsurprisingly, he was not happy. It went to court but he had to find out the identity of the person who the money had gone to. That account would have been under a different name, too. And the mackie spent £46,000 going to court. And barclays mackie spent £46,000 going to court. And ba rclays bank mackie spent £46,000 going to court. And Barclays Bank would not reimburse him until afterwards. Journalism still has some uses to the public. Many uses whenever we do internet transfers, you think, what if i get a number wrong, here . Imagine doing the whole amount all in one go. You might think, i will transfer £1000 first, just to make sure i think transfer £1 first this is why i am such a luddite when it comes to banking, i went to the bank and asked for a check and they looked at me like. only if you days to go until the election. Make a few days. Do join us again same time next week. I will be back at 10pm with the latest news at 10am with the latest news. Goodbye for now. Good morning. Wintry across the north york moors. It will probably feel more like freezing. This cold snap, this one weather front tipping into the north later on monday. But it is looking windy at the moment this is bbc news im shaun ley. The headlines at 10. 00am as the final few days of campaigning get under way, the conservatives promise to introduce an australian style points based immigration system to control unskilled migration. First violinists, nuclear physicists, prima ballerinas, whatever, they are going to come in. What we want to do is bear down on migration, particularly of unskilled workers who have no job to come to. Meanwhile, labour sets out its plans for social care if it wins the election, by offering free personal care for older people in england and an additional £10 billion of funds. Pa rt part of the reason why our nhs is under such intense pressure is, yes, ten yea rs under such intense pressure is, yes, ten years of cutbacks, but savage cuts to social care budgets. We are going to put
