You you a woman whose heart stopped beating for six hours has been brought back to life by doctors in spain a nationwide strike in france enters a second day unions warn it wont stop until the Pension Reforms are scrapped. Lets stay with that story now. With me is kulveer ranger, Senior Vice President of strategy huge disruption on the thursday, going into the second today and its all to do with these pensions reforms that are part of the mandate that president macron was elected on. Pension reform, generalform in france, the economics of the country, this is the tip of the iceberg. Weve seen president macron has been challenged by the gilets jaunes, the yellow vests, for over a year about Living Standards and the challenges that those people across france want and the specific reforms about the French Public sector, Pension System which seems extremely complicated, 42 different varieties of pensions, relatively early retirement ages, 62 compared across the richest nations in europe. Thats very low but its actually deeply about society and where it sees things going on the challenge for a president , he was seen as a bright, fresh hope for the country, especially when it looked like there was a big lurch to the right in terms of french politics that can actually get french people to accept the reforms that are required because they are frightened could be even more serious. The fundamental point to note is the detail of these reforms have not even been released yet. They are about to be released next week so this is french unions and the French Public sector reacting before theyve actually seen reacting before theyve actually seen what is being proposed in detail. It goes to the ring of seizing the narrative in getting the message out first and tempting these things. It does but it also tells you what kind of vice like grip the unions have in france and in fact, the battle that is going to be there. We see in the uk, general election at the moment where there isa election at the moment where there is a view, which way would we go . There is a Big Conversation about brexit tween labour and the can a labour in the conservative party, where they are more left leaning than in generations and you can see more left leaning society in france, some of the challenges they are seeing, some of the polity is proposing in the uk. Thanks that analysis. We will go through the papers ina analysis. We will go through the papers in a short while. One of the worlds biggest cases of cyber theft has been unearthed by british and american police. Two russian nationals are accused of using Malicious Software to steal millions of dollars in more than a0 countries. Daniel sandford has the story. On one of the main boulevards in central moscow, an audi r8 blocking traffic while it does a series of doughnuts. Police say these High Performance and highly expensive cars belong to members of a Cybercrime Group known as evil corp. A Group Responsible for two of the worst computer hacking and Bank Fraud Schemes of the last 10 years. This is 32 year old Maksim Yakubets with his Lamborghini Huracan and his personalised number plate, which in russian reads thief. Today, the fbi charged him with being the leader of evil corp, which is suspected of stealing more than £75 million from customers all over the world. Yakubets is a true 2ist century criminal, who, with a stroke of a key and a click of a mouse committed cybercrimes across the globe. Hes earned his place on the fbis list of the worlds most wanted cybercriminals. The group seems to be able to operate without punishment in russia. The us says Maksim Yakubets helps the russian intelligence agency, the fsb, with its malicious cyber programme, so that might be why. Yakobets spent £250,000 on his wedding. The National Crime agency says evil corp poses the most significant cybercrime threat to the uk, and some members were identified through their social media boasting. The fundamental weakness that organised crime has is that they are driven by money and they are driven by greed. And we have been able to gain evidence in the uk of a real world footprint of people seeking to draw down the funds from these offenses, and also people who are exhibiting a very extravagant lifestyle online. Evil corp even had its own lion cub. Its two leaders have now been charged in america, but as long as they dont leave russia, theres no chance of them standing trial. Daniel sandford, bbc news. Now its time to get all the latest from the bbc sports centre. Hello, im Chetan Pathak with fridays sport briefing. We start with arsenal who are on their longest run without a win since 1977 after losing 2 1 to brighton in the english premier league. It was Freddie Ljungbergs first home game in interim charge but it was the same old story at the final whistle, its 9 games since arsenals last win now and they remain ten points off the top four in 10th place in the table. The first half, we didnt show up. We didnt work hard, didnt want to play. The second half, we had the words. At halftime, all of a sudden we have lots of energy, we get going and we play quite well for a little stint there and thats what i wanted to see in them for 90 minutes, not just 25 minutes or 30 minutes or whatever it was and you cant give away a whole half like that. Newcastle have moved level on points with arsenal afterjonjo shelvey scored in their 2 0 win at sheffield united, its his second in as many matches and follows his dramatic late equaliser against manchester city. Allan Saint Maximin opened the scoring with his first goal for newcastle. Serie a leaders inter milan host roma later in a match which has been overshadowed by this headline in an italian newspaper. Corriere dello sport showed inters Romelu Lukaku and roma defender Chris Smalling with the words black friday. Lukakus called it one of the dumbest headlines hes seen and one that fuels negativity and racism. Both clubs say they wont be doing interviews with the publication until the end of the year. The paper says the headline was innocent and meant to celebrate diversity. The countdown continues to saturdays huge fight in saudi arabia as former heavyweight World Champion anthonyjoshua attempts to win back his belts from andy ruiz junior. The mexicans victory injune was one the biggest upsets in the sports history. Both men will weigh in later on friday joshuas been shedding the pounds for his must win re match but not everybody thinks thats a positive. I believe he may have lost too much muscle and i believe that could be a detrimental effect on him, like have a detrimental effect on him and he could still possibly win a decision if he executes perfect, if he uses this as stayaway, stayaway and dont let andy he terminal because if andy hits him, and he is going to finish him. For almost three decades, the name macedonia has been the subject of a bitter dispute between greece and its northern neighbour, now renamed the republic of north macedonia, under a deal known as the prespa agreement. Thats because theres also a province in greece called macedonia. Bbc journalists Courtney Bembridge and catherine karelli grew up with different sides of this story and travelled across the region from thessaloniki to skopje a year after the name change, to find out how well its working. It was supposed to end a dispute that lasted nearly three decades. The prespa agreement was praised by the International Community is a rare moment of unity in an increasingly divided europe. But a yearon, increasingly divided europe. But a year on, the fear increasingly divided europe. But a yearon, the fearand increasingly divided europe. But a year on, the fear and resentment in the region itself hasnt faded. This is democracy in greece for me, as a greek, this dispute is an important pa rt greek, this dispute is an important part of modern greek identity. And for me as an australian with macedonian roots, this dispute sheds light on my complicated family history. In thessaloniki, the capital of the greek province of macedonia, many proud greeks say the name belongs to them. Macedonia is greece only. They accuse the north macedonians of appropriating greek history. The issue was seen by many as the final straw for alexis tsipras. He made history by signing the deal. A few months later he was out of office. Across the border, north macedonias Prime Minister put his political career on the line by agreeing to the name change after use of greece vetoing his countrys eu membership. But they are yet to get the green light from the eu and he had to call snap elections. Do you feel that youve paid the price for solving a problem that everyone wa nted for solving a problem that everyone wanted to see solved . Its a kind of punishment. It was a long lasting. Of time with this main issue dispute and because of this issue, we lose generations. For many younger citizens in north macedonia, time is running out. We live in the 21st century. Everything is one click away and i feel that young people feel they deserve better and they can do better in other countries so thats why they leave. Close to the north Macedonian Border on the greek side, there is a group of villagers with a definition of macedonian is even more complicated. My grandmothers sister grew up speaking what is now known as macedonian, slavic language that was later banned. When she was at school, slavic speaking children in the village were beaten if they strayed into their mother tongue. The question of National Identity has provoked disagreement and disharmony right across europe in recent yea rs. Disharmony right across europe in recent years. In the case of the name macedonia, its clear that compromise will always come at a cost. Earlier i was mentioning on social media, if your feed is anything like mine people are celebrating their most listened to artists, genres and tracts 12019 and was asking what yours are. You for your tweets. Ari said its the eurovision playlist, no shame there. I agree with you, ari. A tweet from martin who says i havent listened to any new music since about 1991. Last night in the car it was revolver by the beatles. And remy said he doesnt stream music, he prefers to buy cds and put his Favourite Music on his ipod ipod. I know its frothy in light but its friday. I will be back shortly. Hello there. The next few days are looking more unsettled now and even indeed as we head into next week, it looks like the weather will be taking some sort of trollercoaster ride. One day, unsettled, wet and windy, the next day generally fine thanks to a ridge of High Pressure. Now, friday looks like being one of those more unsettled days, lots of isobars on the chart, weather fronts too indicating outbreaks of rain but one thing you will notice, its going to be very mild, especially england and wales as we are drawing up our air off the atlantic from the south west. So a blustery start today, very mild too across the south. Wet, but that rain band will move away and it starts to brighten up a little bit with some sunshine into the afternoon but plenty of showers, particularly into the north and west, a few of these spreading eastwards as well and a blustery day pretty much everywhere, and theres the temperatures, 10 13 degrees, england and wales, something a bit fresher pushing into scotland as we switch our wind direction to a more north westerly. So through friday night, it stays fairly blustery, variable cloud, further showers, mainly in the north and west, a few drier interludes especially further east but because weve got more cloud and that breeze, too kind. Temperatures shouldnt fall much below 5 or 6 degrees for many of us. To enter the start of the weekend, earlier on saturday it looks like we will have this bump of High Pressure which should keep things generally dry across central and eastern areas. It will start off rather cloudy, one or two showers around but i think there will be increasing sunshine into the afternoon but then we look at the next weather system arriving across the north and west, that will bring increasing winds and also thicker cloud with outbreaks of rain here. Temperatures generally around 9 11 degrees. And then through saturday night, that frontal system sweeps its way eastwards across the country, bringing a spell of wet and windy weather. Into sunday, it does look like that main rain band should clear through early on in the morning to allow for a bright day with sunshine but also plenty of blustery showers, especially in the north and west where some of them could be quite heavy and even a wintry flavour over the Higher Ground of scotland. Because here, temperatures will again be on the cool side, single figure values, but 10 12 degrees in the south. It turns very windy sunday night, especially in the south west, could see a spell of severe gales for a time as that system moves through and then another ridge of High Pressure moves in for monday so it looks like it will be largely dry with some sunny spells before the next spell of wet and windy weather moves in for tuesday.
